Excellent.

I was first introduced to this wonderful text as an undergraduate, and even after attaining my master's degree in philosophy I am still re-reading it to this day. Not only does Solomon put his readers into philosophical dialogue with the "central" existentialist thinkers and their "rationalist" predecessors, but he provides elaborate historical detail and careful philosophical argument along the way.

Wow, this book was sooo interesting, but an incredibly slow read for me. I graduated from college as an Engineer and was not 'forced' to read any philosophy up to the point of this book.
