Laura Purdie Salas has written a series of books that can be sung to well-known tunes and teach science to young children. She has done a beautiful job of writing lyrics that work with each tune and that make her subjects easy to understand and remember!

Not a read aloud for any age group, but a good one for students to flip through during a classification unit.
